This “Feudo di Mezzo” wine is an Etna Rosso that does not need too many presentations, but rather a concentrated and respectful taste. Only in this way is it possible to grasp the essence of a bottle with stratified and intense aromas, in which the sip is addictive after just a few moments. A red that reaffirms the philosophy of the Graci winery, careful to give voice to authentic and incisive labels, in which it is the territory, with its particularities, that speaks in the glass. Judging by the excellent Italian and international scores, the voice of this “Feudo di Mezzo” must resonate in a particularly fascinating way.
This Etna Rosso “Feudo di Mezzo” comes from a skilful blend made by the Graci winery, where, alongside 95% of Nerello Mascalese, we find a pinch of Nerello Cappuccio. Two varieties that represent the emblem of the red grape varieties of the Etna DOC, which are bred following the rhythms of nature, without ever forcing anything, but limiting themselves to bringing the terroir of origin into the bottle. The grapes, once harvested during the harvest, ferment thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts in oak vats with a capacity of 10-15 hectoliters. Aging then takes place for two years in oak barrels, a period at the end of which the wine is ready to be bottled.
The “Feudo di Mezzo” wine is an Etna Rosso which, upon visual examination, shows a ruby red color, crossed by slight reflections tending to garnet in the nail. The nose is teeming with ample sensations, where black berried berries alternate with aromas of spices, flowers and laurel. In the mouth it is full-bodied, energetic and snappy at the same time, round and full, with good tannins and a sip with a clear sapid imprint; ends with a finish of excellent persistence. Territory, tradition and nature, the cornerstones on which Graci operates every day, are found in this Sicilian red, whose success confirms, if needed, the great quality of the work done by the cellar.
